Race Report: XRS Finland 9.12.2023
Some 50 drivers lined up at Fullspeed RC in Vantaa, Finland, for the highly anticipated XRS Finland race on December 9, 2023. Organized by EuroRC, this event featured a diverse lineup of racing classes, including Touring Prostock, Touring Modified, CS-12, C12, and Eurotruck. With skilled competitors not only highlighted the exceptional skill level of its participants within the national level but also showcased a European-class proficiency, with drivers such as Joseph Quaqraine, Pekko Iivonen, Juho Levänen, Janne Koivisto, and Oiva Metsola demonstrating a level of racing finesse that placed them among the elite in the European racing community. Their presence elevated the competition, making each class a true spectacle of high-speed precision and strategic mastery.
Touring Prostock:
Janne Koivisto asserted his dominance by securing the top qualifying position in the Touring Prostock class. As the race unfolded, Koivisto continued to showcase his exceptional driving skills, navigating the challenging course with finesse. The final results reflected Koivisto's mastery, with a podium finish that included Markku Manner in second place and Niko Vuorenmaa in third.

Touring Modified:
Pekko Iivonen emerged as the top qualifier in the Touring Modified class, setting the stage for a fierce competition. Iivonen's performance in the final race was nothing short of spectacular, as he outpaced his rivals to claim the top spot. Joona Lempiäinen and Juho Levänen secured second and third places, respectively, in a closely contested battle.
