There has been a lot of confusion around the date for the approved proposal for sintered magnets to be in full force. Lack of time at the AGM forced a lot of people to jump to conclusions and several opinions started their own life….
Therefore and as the complete electric EFRA board as a group agreed after some well thought argumentations that the date of APRIL the 2nd is the best compromise
The Electric EFRA board is united in the opinion and in a spirit of fair play it would not be in the interest of RC motor sport to have it blocked till November, neither to have it on such short notice all over Europe as from January:
By then this is a common gentlemen’s agreement and a directive for all electric EFRA classes:
The sintered magnets and delta wind will be allowed on EFRA races as from 02.04.07. This means, that the following proposal accepted by the section meeting at the AGM 2006 takes effect on 2nd of April 2007:
2.2b: b) Brushless Motor
d) Winding: Delta and Y wounded stators are permitted. Only circular
(round)pure copper is permitted. There is no turn limit.
Rotor: Output shaft diameter must be 0,125" (3.175mm). Only one piece, two poles Neodymium or Ferrite magnetic rotors are permitted.
This directive will be posted on the EFRA website and sent by email to all registered countries and associated members bythe general secretary .
